Devlins Road Recreation Reserve — known locally as Oakdene Oval — is a large community oval in Ocean Grove's Oakdene Estate. Council signage on the fence confirms it clearly: a sporting ground where dogs are permitted off-leash (supervised) when it's not being used for organised sport. It's partially fenced with open edges near the road, and there's no gate — just open access onto the oval.
Two large gravel car parks sit at the north-east and south-east ends of the oval, so parking is easy regardless of which side you're coming from.

Confirmed on-site via council signage: "Sporting Ground — Dogs Off Leash - Supervised When Not Being Used For Sport." Check for training or matches before assuming the oval's free — same as any shared sporting ground.
The oval holds water and gets genuinely muddy over winter — no shade either, so check conditions before you go if it's been raining.
There's a portable toilet block at the southern car park, but it's kept locked and only opened for sporting events (cricket/football) — don't count on it being accessible for a regular visit.
Bins, a dog waste bag dispenser and seating are all on-site, along with the two gravel car parks. Open edge near the road on one side, so worth knowing if your dog isn't reliable around traffic.
