Howard Glover Reserve is a large, partially fenced reserve in East Geelong — home to Geelong City FC ("The Nest") — with well-drained open grass, good sightlines and open access with no gate to worry about on the way in.
It's an easy walk from Eastern Park and the Geelong Botanic Gardens, so it's simple to combine with a longer walk along that side of town.
Dogs are welcome off-leash under effective control when no organised sport is on — signage on-site is explicit that dogs are prohibited on the oval during matches and training. Owners must pick up after their dogs; penalties apply.
Ground is grass throughout and drains well. Reserve is partially fenced with open, gate-free access, and isn't near a road.
On-site parking, bins and seating are provided. A typical mix of dog sizes and energy levels on any given visit.
Nearest entrance is off Limeburners Road / Glen Avenue. A short walk from Eastern Park's much larger off-leash areas if you want to extend the walk.
Shown by proximity, not a personal recommendation — always confirm details directly with the clinic, especially in an emergency.
